My name is Simon Margheritini. For nearly 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of people live lives full of health, wellbeing and happiness.
One question I hear often is: “Why do so many people struggle with weight loss, when we’ve been told over and over that it’s simple—just eat less and exercise?” We hear it from the internet, TV, and magazines: lose the weight, and the problem is solved. In the short term, this approach can work. But the long-term reality tells a very different story—less than 1% of people who reach their natural weight manage to keep it off after 18 months.
We’re told this is a result of being “weak-willed” or “lazy,” but I believe that narrative is both harmful and misleading. The real challenges lie much deeper. Our education around food, our socio-economic backgrounds, childhood experiences, mental health, and even emotional triggers around certain foods all play a massive role. Long-term success depends on understanding these underlying issues with empathy and insight. That’s why I focus on creating the right support network for my clients—because I believe you can live a sustained, healthy life.
As a personal trainer with over two decades of experience, my mission has always been to empower people with tools that create lasting change. My training approach is grounded in the latest research and incorporates an innovative strengthening method known as proprioceptive functional training. This technique has been proven to deliver superior results in less time, with less risk of injury.
My approach goes far beyond aesthetics or weight loss. It’s about helping my clients build real, lasting strength—not just to lift more in the gym, but to move through life with greater ease, confidence, and resilience. Functional strength means fewer injuries, better posture, and greater freedom of movement as you age. I also focus on building endurance and conditioning, so you have the stamina to keep up with life’s demands. Importantly, mental health is always part of the conversation. Exercise is one of the most underused yet powerful tools for managing stress, anxiety, and depression. My sessions are designed not only to improve your physical wellbeing, but also to help you develop a more positive relationship with your body, your thoughts, and your overall sense of self.
